In some respects I am happy I don’t have a lot to do today. It is nice to have a relaxing day of sorts – as compared to our ever busy society. But with the good, comes the bad: I am doing something I don’t really like today.
Now, you will probably think that it isn’t bad at all, but it is more that I don’t like it: calling to reserve a car rental in both Orlando and Miami. Call me a baby if you will, but I like to use the phone to call friends, but when I call a business I just get nervous. I have been like that for as long as I can remember – and even with practice, it is still a problem for me.
Before I will be making calls, I am just going to look online for companies that rent cars in those areas. That way I can make a list of numbers, and hopefully get through my task as quick as I can. I learned quickly that depending how you ask a search engine a question, your results will vary. For example, “car rental Miami” didn’t quite give me what I was looking for, but “car rentals Miami” was right on the button. Learning from this experience, I found some good prospects searching for “car rentals Orlando”.
So, now that I have my list of numbers, all I have to do is call… maybe I can do that later (procrastinating never hurt anyone, right?).
Car rentals and minimizing travel expenses don’t seem to fit in the same sentence, right? Well, I would have to argue that they do. You see, you could just go to any car rental place, take what they give you , and just go with it, but in reality you would be paying too much.
I learned my lesson when I was traveling over in Europe. While looking through the phone book for a car rental company, I accidentally turned the page to the "cheap car hire Spain" page. Cheap car hire? I never really thought of a cheaper option - so I had to check it out.
It turns out that a cheap car is just as good as a regular priced car rental - and surprisingly just as reliable. I thought that they might cut corners, but from my experience, everything worked out okay. I was sure to lookup "cheap car hire France" when I was in France, and that worked out remarkably well too.
So, if you are traveling anywhere in the world, and need to rent a car, see if there is a cheap option. You would be amazed at the amount of money you will save.
I was looking the other day for Bellagio discounts, as my brother is getting married there in a few months. He has a block of rooms reserved, but I was sure I could get a better deal than he had and I made it my mission to try. He told me if I could get a better deal for his guests than he did, it was better than a wedding present. That sounded like a challenge to me.
I phoned a couple of travel agents and asked them about current Las Vegas hotel promotions. One place told me they had a whole list and would email it to me. I was pumped to see that the Bellagio was one of them and the discount was about 20% better than my brother had been offered.
I forwarded the list of Bellagio offer codes to my brother, instructing him how he could get his guests better rates than he had done himself. Now, all I have to do is decide whether or not I should be getting him a wedding present – I would feel a bit guilty if I didn’t.
Many years ago, my husband and I traveled to Spain on our honeymoon. He had family connections there at the time and it was a lovely and romantic trip. It will soon be 25 years since we were married and we are looking into making the trip again. My husband no longer has relative living there, so we would need to look into villa rentals.
It was suggested by a friend that we look into motorhome rentals and see more of the countryside. I thought this would be a nice idea if we had extra time there and the trip was not too rushed or congested. The countryside is beautiful.
I am sure that whatever we decide, it will be as wonderful as the last trip. After all, my husband is still wonderful after all those years. So whether it be a villa or a motorhome, we need to start looking into holiday rentals to make our trip complete.
I was looking today for some information on a trip I am going to take in the spring. You see, I am planning to go see Universal Studios in Orlando. This has been a trip that I told myself that I would undertake before I turned thirty. Now, with less than a year ago it was time to live up to my promise.
So, I knew where I wanted to go, but really had no other knowledge on where I could go in Orlando or what to do there. I figured I would spend about a day or maybe two at Universal Studios, but after that I had no idea.
I did a couple of searches and I discovered that I would be in the same area as Disney World. This is another destination I had always dreamed of visiting, but never had the opportunity. I found some good advice on tourist destinations in Orlando on a Disney World forum.
At this forum, there were many contributors that shared their good and bad experiences from their trips to Disney World. In fact, I am going to take a recommendation by most of the members on the forum - I have booked accommodations at the Disney World Resort Hotels.
I think I am going to look around a little more for other places to visit while I am on my trip. Even though it is a holiday, I don’t want to miss anything out there. Who knows when I will be back there.
When traveling to Quebec City, whether for business or pleasure, there are two sure things when it comes to booking a hotel.
If you are traveling with a family, you cannot go wrong with the Hotel Clarion Quebec. They cater to children and their facilities are family friendly. There is much to do there and it is very affordable. The food is great and the shows are very entertaining for all ages.
When traveling solo for business or as a couple, the much smaller Capitole Hotel is a great choice. It is more intimate and also contains a variety of entertainment and amenities. High speed Internet is available in all of the rooms and the dining is absolutely fabulous. There is also much to see outside the walls of the hotel as there are some great views of Quebec City’s wonderful architecture.
So, if you are ever looking for Hotels in Quebec City, I can guarantee these would both make excellent choices.
