Amazed Doctors

Posted By admin on September 1, 2008 @ 1:30 pm

When I found out that my daughter was severely anemic, I decided to do whatever I could to help her get better. I went to talk to my natural remedies doctor and he suggested that I put her on a daily dose of chlorella. I was a little bit leery about feeding my daughter algae, but he had never let us down in the past, so I decided to heed his advice.

When she went for her next blood exam, the doctors were astonished. In fact, they did not think that the change in numbers was humanly possible. So when Dr. Jo suggested that I take spirulina for my heart, I didn’t think twice about it. Again, the doctors were amazed at the results.

Our family all now have barley grass as part of our daily diet and I think that we are all doing well. In fact, should any health problems arise in the future, I would probably consider seeing Dr. Jo before we go to the family GP.

A Permanent Fix

Posted By Twyla on July 21, 2008 @ 6:34 am

My son started wearing glasses when he was four years old. When he was twelve, he wanted to get contacts because he felt like he was ridiculed because of the glasses. At sixteen, he decided that he wanted a permanent fix with laser eye surgery.

I started looking into laser eye surgery prices and found that it was quite affordable. We buy him new glasses and contact lenses every year, so it would actually be a cheaper alternative in the long run. After some discussion, my husband and I decided that he could have the surgery.

I made an appointment for him with a laser eye surgery doctor and after an examination, the doctor said that the surgery would be no problem at all. He booked in for the procedure and everything went well. He is happy with the results and we are glad that we could do something to make his life a little bit easier.

Getting Medical Procedures Abroad

Posted By admin on June 28, 2008 @ 3:21 am

One of the most frustrating things for me is the price of certain surgeries in my home country.  Sure, it is nice that we can get some of these procedures done here, but quite frankly, when it comes to the price, most of us cannot afford it.

This has lead many people to look for ways to get similar services without the costs.  Sure, it would be nice if there was some way that you could shop around in your neighborhood and pick the cheapest rate, but that is not the case.

In response to this need, many people have taken advantage of medical tourism Asia, where they take a trip to an Asian country that offers the type of procedure that they need, and pay a reduced rate for the services.  This not only saves them money, but quite often can reduce waiting times as well.

So the next time you need a medical procedure, don’t forget to shop around other countries - you might just find yourself a better deal.

Getting Healthy, One Day at a Time

Posted By admin on June 26, 2008 @ 10:13 pm

I feel that they key to a healthy life is to work at it a day at a time.  We can’t all expect to be healthy everyday, but if we make choices that help us stay in that state, we have done what we should do.

Healthy choices that you can make each day can be something as simple as eating properly, getting some exercise, or even taking your vitamins.  The thing that I find is that there is not just one magic thing that we can do to be healthy, but it is a combination of small things that makes it all work out.

For example, I have been getting rid of the toxins in my body by using Zeolite - it takes just a few drops in a bottle of water each day and that is it.  The result of this habit is that my memory is more like it was when I was younger, and I have as much energy as I had as a teenager.  By simply getting rid of the toxins in my body, I have made a drastic change in my lifestyle.

So make sure that you take the time to make choices that will keep you healthy - that way you will live a long, fruitful life.

Helping Those in Need

When I was going to college to become a dentist, I really wanted to be able to help people.  I had grown up in a poor family and I knew that I was very fortunate to be in college. I had worked really hard in school and I got great scholarships. It was the only way that I was able to attend.

I decided that I wanted to be able to offer discount dental to families that could not afford the price of seeing a dentist. I would eventually like to be able to offer quality dental care to everyone, even when they cannot afford it.

Whenever someone asks me about advice on coverage, I send them to Ameriplan. As far as I am concerned it is the best deal and the best coverage for those who need it and I am more than happy to help out these people in any way that I can.

CPAP Alternatives

Posted By admin on May 19, 2008 @ 10:27 am

For most of my life, I have suffered from mild sleep apnea.  Now, that usually isn’t such a big problem, but my challenge is that regular CPAP machines don’t work for me.  I really needed to find a solution.

When I went to talk to my doctor about my problems with my CPAP equipment, my doctor looked very concerned.  I guess that none of his patients with sleep apnea have had a problem with it, so he told me that he would have to look into it.

It took him about a day to get back to me, but he had a promising solution.  He told me that I should go purchase a Bipap machine, and that it was the recommended alternative for patients that had problems with traditional CPAP treatments.

I will be going to pick one up to give it a try - I just hope that it does the job.

Treatment for cellulite better in Phoenix than here in home town?

Posted By Jenn Brockman on May 7, 2008 @ 8:19 pm

I’m one of the hundreds of thousands of people who have cellulite issues. It came on before having my first daughter. I’d taken a hormone shot for pregnancy prevention and that caused a lot of weight gain in a short amount of time.

From then on, I had cottage cheese thighs and now my behind is not fit for a swim suit in the bright light of day either. It must have something to do with genetics though and not just having extra fat, because my 10 year old daughter who is not overweight by any means has some cellulite! The poor girl also has some acne already. I swear our kids are being bombarded every day with more junk that their bodies have to deal with.

There wasn’t much a person could do though for cellulite until recently. For fat and cellulite reduction Phoenix is a good place to be from what I’ve read in my trade magazines. Skinovative Phoenix has some great, non-invasive treatments that rival the results of liposuction. Actually, for acne treatment Phoenix is good too. They have an abundance of spas and general body treatment center type places that I’ve read about in my spa magazines these last few months. They have better facilities that we do here in my town anyway.

The Adult ADD Blues

Posted By Deb Gallardo on April 28, 2008 @ 12:47 pm

I’ve gained a fashionable disability label. I am an adult with Attention Deficit Disorder or ADD. For me this means

  • I usually have about 20 tabs open on my Browser at any given time. Today my tabs are: webmail (1), Internet marketing-related sites (3), writing (2), blogs that focus on topics I write about (10), Indian food and Indian recipes (1), my writing blog dashboard, and the “write a post” admin page - one tab each. Oh, and another whole Firefox page with sites I searched from bloggers in my state (12) and Google (2).
  • I am missing all DNA paired sequences related to organization.
  • I can’t break down a task into steps, and suffer easily from overwhelm. Everything looks important.
  • When someone points out a system, I am awed by how simple it sounds, yet know I struggle just with what label to put on a file folder.

I share these characteristics with tens of thousands of other people, and those who are women, live as I do, ashamed that we don’t have it “all together.”

One Big, Healthy Family

Posted By Twyla on April 12, 2008 @ 10:10 am

I have a very healthy family. We are rarely sick and aside from when I gave birth to my three children, none of us have ever spent any time in the hospital. I wouldn’t say that we are overly cautious, but more that we are very lucky. I guess we have very good immune systems.

We have excellent medical insurance through my husband’s employer. We hardly ever have a chance to take advantage of using it, but that is just fine with me. I would like things to stay just the way that they are. It is great to have it, because you just never know.

It was funny when my son Reagan got a head cold and had to miss a day of school. As he had never missed for being sick before, his teacher called to make sure that it was really true and that he was not just trying to skip school. We all had a good laugh over that one.

Selling a Healthier Life

Posted By Twyla on March 16, 2008 @ 3:30 pm

The best thing that I ever did for my body was to start taking liquid vitamins. I have never felt happier and healthier than I do right now and I accredit it all to the liquid vitamins that are now a regular part of my diet. It is a funny story as to what got me into it.

I have never been into body building, so I never saw a need to go to a health food store that I deemed was for body builders. But, one day, as I was thinking about it, I thought that I was not a body builder, but I was building my body. I was building it to be healthy and it might not hurt to go talk to someone at one of these stores. That is where I was introduced to GBG.

These vitamins have changed my life. Not only physically, but financially, as well. It is one of my missions in life to let people know about this great vitamin and what it could do for them. It is all part of a MLM and I am proud to be able to sell a product that I stand behind one hundred percent.
