Amazing Software Resource

Posted By admin on September 28, 2008 @ 3:10 am

I am a big believer that if you find something good or useful that you should share it with the world.  Though knowledge is power, there is also power in sharing, and that is what I believe is truly what we should be doing.

Alright, my opinion aside, I wanted to share an invaluable software resource website with you that has a couple of tools that I use myself each and every day to make my life just a little bit easier.

The first product that I use for my business is BMail, which is an opt-in email manager.  It not only helps you to collect the names on your list, but it also offers the ability to send out mail to the list when you choose.  It is definitely one of those must-have tools for every webmaster - without it, there would be no email marketing for me.

I also like to use Atomic Watch to make sure that my websites are functioning properly.  Much like a babysitter, this program checks periodically to make sure that your website is still working - if it isn’t, it lets you know so that you can address the problem sooner as opposed to later.

Though these are just two of the software applications that I use, I strongly recommend them to anyone who is doing business online - these are must-have tools.

Glowing Review Convinces me to buy SpyHunter

Posted By admin on September 4, 2008 @ 2:19 pm

For the most part, I’ll admit that I am pretty cheap when it comes to computer software.  I guess for me, I don’t see the reason why you would want to spend any kind of money when there are just so many options when it comes to free computer software.  So, for me, it takes a lot of convincing to make me decide to purchase.

Now, when I came across a SpyHunter review, I wasn’t sure it was worth the read.  You see, SpyHunter is a paid antispyware solution, and as I explained above, I am not a big fan of paid software.

But after reading the review, I realized that there were a lot of things that the paid version of the software did compared to the free software I used.  In fact, the features just made a lot of sense to me, so much so, that I decided to buy it.

Three months later, I am still happy with my decision.  In fact, I think this has been the longest that my computer hasn’t had problems since I bought it (knock on wood).

Dead Girl Searching

Posted By Twyla on March 20, 2008 @ 3:23 pm

I am in such trouble if I do not find the best data recovery software ever made. The reason is that I somehow erased the hard drive on my brother’s computer when I was explicitly told not to touch it. He is away for the weekend and I have exactly forty-eight hours to fix everything that I have done to it.

I went online on one of the computers at the library to find some recovery my files software. I even went to the store where my brother purchased his computer to see if they could help me. It turns out that they won’t even touch the machine without my brother being there, so I may be a dead person come Monday.

One of the guys that I go to school with told me that he has used digital photo recovery software before and said that if I could get my hands on a program to recover the hard drive, he doesn’t suppose it would be that much different. I hope he is right and I am glad he offered to help. I will hope for the best. If you never hear from me again, you know the outcome.

Too Many Cookies for Me

Posted By admin on March 11, 2008 @ 4:23 pm

One of my biggest frustrations of going online is the number of cookies that are saved on your computer.  I don’t know about you, but when I go to my cookie folder, there are thousands upon thousands of cookies on there.  I am no computer technician by any means, but it seems the longer that I leave them there, the slower my machine gets.

I have been worried with all the cookies that are typically on my machine, if someone would want to hack into it to get my information.  I don’t want to become another victim of identity theft – so I thought I should do something about it.

Looking at my options, I found myself a little overwhelmed with my choices.  You see, I could get some Internet privacy software to erase the tracks of what sites I visited and when.  It would also get rid of those pesky cookies – and that would be great.  So, I bought some Privacy Controls software to help out with the cookie problem.

But, I also found another software solution that was intriguing, and that would get rid of my problems all together.  I bought some Anonymizer software, that will hide my IP address, so that no one will know the location of my computer – so it should protect it from becoming a victim of some hacker.

We’ll see how this new software goes together, but I feel safer already, knowing that my computer is safer than it was yesterday.

All Software Not Created Equal

Over the years, I have used many different computer software packages designed to make my computer run smoother and quicker than before.  Personally, I have had success with some and failure with others.

After reading many registry cleaner reviews, I have determined that I should get Registry Mechanic to fix the many problems that I am having with my computer.  I have suffered enough, and it is time that I do something about it.

I did have second thoughts about just rushing out to buy one type of software.  I thought that I should look for other reviews of other registry software, just to make sure that I was making the right choice.

But, when I read some Regcure Reviews, my choice was clear and I purchased Regcure.  After installing the software and trying it out, I am very happy with my choice.  My computer is now purring along smoothly like a fine tuned car.

I Hope They Can Fix My Computer

Posted By Twyla on March 2, 2008 @ 2:29 pm

It is a sad day in Twyla land.  You see, I was working on a paper for the night class that I am taking today and things were going great.  But, I got a little hungry, so I went out for lunch, only to return to a broken computer.

The only thing that I could guess that happened is that my cat jumped on the keyboard and hit the wrong buttons.  So, I took the computer in to get fixed, and the man at the service counter was quick to help me out.

They asked me all sorts of questions like if I tried to use the Seagate data recovery software that came with my computer or if I had tried to recover deleted folders on my computer.  I really didn’t understand what they were talking about.  I just told them I needed it fixed so that I could get my paper done on time.

They told me to leave the computer with them overnight and they could perform a crashed drive recovery to fix it…. whatever that means.

Best Registry Repair Tools

Posted By Twyla on December 18, 2007 @ 4:37 pm

I have never been someone to settle for second best.  Whether it was my boyfriend, my car, or my computer, I have always had the best.

So, when it came to my computer, I had to have the best registry repair software on the market - not some poor quality, second rate software.  To help make my decision, I talked to a few computer repair technicians that were happy to help me.  They had conflicting opinions, but the two pieces of software they suggested were Regcure and Registry Easy.

After leaving the store, I went home to go do some research online.  I spent a few hours reading many Regcure reviews and the software seemed promising.  I made sure to read reviews from many sites to get different opinions and ensure that what I was looking at was correct.  Regcure sure had a lot of fans, but I needed to read the reviews on the competition before I purchased it.

So, I spent another hour or so looking over many Registry Easy review websites.  Now, feature wise, it was the same as Regcure.  But, there were many more people that had extreme satisfaction with this product, and it was voted at the best software for registry repair on many sites.

Since I needed and wanted the best, I purchased Registry Easy and have never looked back.  Am I happy with it?  You bet.
