In my career as a home improvement consultant I have written a number or reviews and articles about extra large decorative mirrors. I have, in many occasions shared about how to place them correctly in the house, where to buy the best and why they are so important to our everyday lives. Having said that let me continue sharing more of some of my tips and tricks.
I will quickly provide and overview about these decorative items so you can get up and going with using them around your home.
First and foremost mirrors are used to check your image and see if you are happy with yourself i.e. to be sure you are dressed for the party.
More and more people have gone past that functionality and are now using them to create an illusion of space in their homes. In addition to that, they are also used to add more light into a “not so well lit” room.
There are many types of mirrors that you can choose when coming up with your decorative plans. For instance, you can go for a oversized, Venetian, handcrafted, wall, metal, antique, wrought and full length dressing mirror to mention just a few.
For those people who have small houses this is practically an easy way to living “large” as you widen the size of your house without laying another brick. I know that most people are weary of doing this because visitors and kids have a bad habit of banging touching things around, which might dirty them. Simply find a mirrored tile that comes with a design overlay and the problem will be solved.
Another option is to have oil rubbed bronze framed oval bathroom mirrors on a mantle. Alternatively simply add some highlights on some parts of the walls.
Do not work yourself too hard trying to come up with the best look with your deco mirrors. Just do the best you can and it will all come together some how. You should probably consider finding more sources to help you get started with your new home improvement project
