As well you can often use a laundry detergent mixture with some warm water to remove the rest of the adhesive.  This method tends to work well but be sure you move in a circular motion and apply as much pressure to the spot when scrubbing.Never soak and area of your carpet with water or solution as this can lead to mold under the carpet.  Often times this can result in a circular ring.
