Becoming a Better Beauty Consultant

Posted By Twyla on October 9, 2008 @ 1:40 am

For the past couple years, I’ve been running my own beauty consultant business. Though I had never originally intended to have my own business, I saw a need in our community that took initiative to fill that need and profit from it.

My background in beauty was fairly limited at the time, but I had attended a hair school when I was younger so I did have some experience with makeovers (at least when it came to hair).

The company that I joined provided a one day beauty school for everyone to get a basic understanding of how to perform makeovers and offer advice as a beauty consultant. Though the workshop was relatively thorough, I felt that I needed more training in order to provide good value to my customers.

I enrolled in a program at a Beauty Academy that was specifically designed for people like myself that were going to advise others as to what they could do to increase their own personal beauty. It was not only the best decision I made with respect to my business, but it also help me to grow into an effective beauty consultant.

Easy Way to Make a Great Wedding

Though I have not been to a ton of weddings, I have sure attended a lot.  It could be that I was in a group of students that seemed to be getting married all at once, or it could be that I had a lot of friends, but it seemed that every time that I turned around, someone was getting married at school.

Though I didn’t get married while in college, by attending all of these weddings, I received a great education on what makes a good wedding great.  You see, what I saw was that everyone did things slightly differently, and sometimes they worked, sometimes they didn’t.

I did find that if the wedding ceremony had a nice aisle runner (especially if it was a custom aisle runner), they did provide the guests with a more elegant wedding experience.

I guess you can’t blame custom aisle runners for making a wedding great, but all of the weddings that I attended that had one were.

Birthday Present for a Coffee Drinker

Posted By admin on October 6, 2008 @ 9:50 am

It seems that the older I get the more challenges that I have finding appropriate birthday presents for my friends. Most of us make more money than we did a couple a years ago and if we want something we usually just buy it.

But that doesn’t mean that I still don’t need ideas when it comes to birthday presents. I’ve had a number suggestions that I should be buying gift cards for my friends so that they can pick out their own gifts, but I feel that the gift card shows that I didn’t take the time to find something appropriate for them.

With my best friend Dave’s birthday coming up, I needed to figure something out relatively quickly. I knew that he is a big coffee drinker so I thought that I might get him one of the best coffee makers on the market.

It took me a little while but I was able to find the best coffee maker and the best coffee pot sold together in one set. I bought it and hopefully he needs a new coffee maker, otherwise I don’t know what else to get him.
