Usually my day at work goes smoothly, but I guess it was destined not to go smoothly today. You see, we had some problems this morning with our credit card processing machine during our breakfast rush hour and it quickly became a big headache for our restaurant.
We had patrons leaving before they were seated and a lot of unhappy customers. Try as we might, we were unable to get the machine to work at all - so I decided that we needed to call the customer service line for support.
After navigating through the menus, I was finally able to talk to a real person. I explained the problem and they were able to help me through it quickly and easily. In fact, I was rather surprised that they were as helpful as they were - I have had bad phone service experience in the past.
But, we finally were able to get it to work and that helped to save the day. Hopefully, we won’t have any more problems before my shift is over (fingers crossed).
