It has got to the point in my life where I should be considering enrolling in a medical health insurance policy.  I am getting a little older (almost 30) and though I am not at an age where there could be a lot of health problems, it is still something I need to consider - especially to safeguard my finances.

I have contacted a number of companies to get individual health insurance quotes so that I can compare prices and policies.  Thanks to the Internet, all this took was a simple email to the company  and they were happy to send me the information.

Going over the information about the health policies that these companies provide, I have been looking at the ones that have individual vision insurance plans.  I need some new glasses, and if I could save a bit of money off of the price, that would be fabulous.

I have also noticed that a couple of them offer accident health insurance and I don’t know if I need it.  I work at a desk job, and there haven’t been a lot of people that have had a pen in their eye - my job really isn’t that dangerous.  But, I think I will inquire about it anyway - and see what it entails.

I still have a bit of reading to do before I decide on which plan to go with - but I will feel a lot better knowing that if there are any medical expenses I won’t have to bear the brunt of the costs.
