I was looking today for some information on a trip I am going to take in the spring. You see, I am planning to go see Universal Studios in Orlando. This has been a trip that I told myself that I would undertake before I turned thirty. Now, with less than a year ago it was time to live up to my promise.
So, I knew where I wanted to go, but really had no other knowledge on where I could go in Orlando or what to do there. I figured I would spend about a day or maybe two at Universal Studios, but after that I had no idea.
I did a couple of searches and I discovered that I would be in the same area as Disney World. This is another destination I had always dreamed of visiting, but never had the opportunity. I found some good advice on tourist destinations in Orlando on a Disney World forum.
At this forum, there were many contributors that shared their good and bad experiences from their trips to Disney World. In fact, I am going to take a recommendation by most of the members on the forum - I have booked accommodations at the Disney World Resort Hotels.
I think I am going to look around a little more for other places to visit while I am on my trip. Even though it is a holiday, I don’t want to miss anything out there. Who knows when I will be back there.
Now, it is with great dismay that I need a new mobile phone. You see, my son decided to wash my phone in the toilet, and it doesn’t work anymore. So, with my addiction to cell phones unsatisfied, I decided to look at some phones and pick one as the replacement.
I never realized the number of cheap mobile phones on the market. From holding them and trying them out, I quickly realized they were not all created equal. Some felt like toys, others like rocks, and some of them felt really cheap.
Out of all of them, the Sony Ericsson W580i seemed to have the most promise. It was definitely a step up from my old phone, it could even function as an mp3 player. I also found the shuffle feature of the w580i to be pretty neat - at the flick of my wrist I could change the song.
In the end, the Sony became my replacement. I will just have to be more careful not to leave this one where my son can get it - I don’t want to buy another phone for a long time.
Now, I am sure all you ladies know that all beauty salons are not created equal. Some of them offer extra services that their competition does not, and quite often you get what you pay for.
Choosing a beauty salon is much like a job interview - you read about them on their resume (their ad in the phone book for example) and go there for the interview. Basically, the interview is much like test driving a vehicle - I want to see what they got.
I try not to limit my choices to just one of the beauty salon professionals - I need to try out at least three of them to make my decision. I may get one to style my hair, one to a manicure, and another to do a pedicure. I ask plenty of questions regarding their education and experience, and about their lives to see how friendly they are.
Just like a real job application, I only come back to salons that have made the cut. If they are not friendly enough, not experienced enough, or do not offer the services I require, I don’t bother to go back. Besides, in order to stay beautiful, you can’t be second best.
Last night, I ended up watching a documentary last night about parents and children. Specifically, the documentary was regarding parent involvement in education - from the development of their child in the early years, through school, and the rest of their lives.
This close relationship begins as soon as the child is born. From the sounds a parent makes, to the lessons that they teach the child, their learning is very dependent on the parents. At this stage before school, you can tell who has had parent involvement in their lives - and who has not. It can be reflected in their speech, the words they write (if they can write) and their vocabulary. Teachers can usually tell who has a close relationship with their parents and who has not.
The gap widens as children enter school. Usually those who have had the extra time spent with them learn quicker, and they may even start the school year ahead of the class. I realize that the behavior of children can sometimes be affected when their parents are around, but parent involvement in schools can benefit their child as well as the other children. The giving of time makes their child have a greater sense of worth as well as the relationship that the other children form with their parent can increase their popularity.
Most parents stop their involvement in school when their child enters high school. But there is value participating here as well. Some good examples of where parents are needed are band trips, canoe clubs, sporting events and other outings where a vehicle may be required. The parent and child will also benefit from the bonds of friendship that are formed that will carry through both of their lives.
So, if you are a parent or will be at some point - get involved in your child’s life. Not only will it help them when they are younger, but it will also help them someday to be good parents. And isn’t that what all parents want? I’ll let you decide.
Now, if you are like many homeowners, you might be having problems keeping up with your mortgage payments. Now, one month might be okay, but if you have a persistent problem keeping up you are heading for trouble. Your home may become part of your lender’s repossessed properties - and you definitely want to avoid that.
If you do have your home repossessed, you will also have to find a new place to live - which is usually a lot of stress. So, what I would suggest, is deal with your mortgage payment problem before your home is repossessed.
Where do you start?
What I would suggest is look online for a sell and rent back company. What they do is buy your home from you (solving your money problem) and they rent it to you (solving your need to move). You can also have a buy back option on your home, so that when you are in a better financial position, you can buy back your home.
The biggest reason I joined MySpace years ago was to stay in touch with friends. The second reason (to be honest, the real reason I joined) was to show my personality using fun MySpace layouts - and to stand out from the crowd.
With my goals in mind, I have made an effort to change my layout every three months. I don’t want to look like I don’t take the time to keep my site up to date as well as I get bored too easily. I have been spending most of today looking at free MySpace layouts trying to find one that captures me perfectly.
Feeling a little artsy, I found myself looking at abstract MySpace layouts - and I think I found one that will work for me - and it’s pink! I love it!
So, I am going to install it on my profile and just tweak it a bit so it is distinctly me. For my friends out there, come check it out - you know who you are.
I have been looking for reliable web hosting for the past week. The reason for the search is the current host I have for some of my sites has gone downhill. A couple months ago they were fabulous, but I don’t know what happened. Now, I am lucky if I can log into my sites on a daily basis - usually the server is down.
So, I am looking for a reliable and affordable web hosting. Let me tell you, this search has not been easy. I started off looking on some forums that I frequent in their web hosting sections. Now, I am a little confused with the prices - some hosts are offering their services for a couple of dollars per month, whereas some are charging hundreds of dollars - it doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.
Okay, reading up on why the prices are different - I have a better understanding. You see the cheap web hosting is for lower traffic sites, whereas the more expensive plans are for busy sites. What I saw in the forums wasn’t really appealing me, so I decided to try something else out.
I found a good web host review site that offered testimonials (good and bad) about different web hosting companies. From these reviews I think I have found the company that I am going to go with. I have made the payment and I am waiting for the account information. Hopefully I won’t have to do any more web host shopping anytime soon.
Now, I know the title I put on this article seems a little incredible - getting financing for whatever project your business needs in the next 24 hours. For those of you out there, you are probably familiar with unsecured business loans - filling out the paperwork, providing the piles of financial documentation, and the long wait to get approved. I have had times in the past where the wait resulted in missing the opportunity that I was after.
I should mention businesses that have bad credit as well. For those of you who have had a business loan for bad credit - and I know some of you out there have had some of these loans - you can appreciate having an option that is quicker. For the loans for bad credit, sometimes the wait and paperwork can be overwhelming - especially if you are trying to take advantage of a limited time offer.
Now, I promised there is a way to get approval for financing in 24 hours or less. The financial product you need to do this is a business cash advance. In terms of time to fill out an application, you can do it in about ten minutes online. Like I said above, approval usually takes less than 24 hours, and you can have the money in your hand in less than a week. Even those of you that have bad credit can take advantage of this type of financing - companies that offer business cash advances are not as concerned with credit ratings - rather the ability of the company to pay back the advance.
My advice would be to check them out - chances are that they will help you business grow and take your business success to the next level.
When traveling to Quebec City, whether for business or pleasure, there are two sure things when it comes to booking a hotel.
If you are traveling with a family, you cannot go wrong with the Hotel Clarion Quebec. They cater to children and their facilities are family friendly. There is much to do there and it is very affordable. The food is great and the shows are very entertaining for all ages.
When traveling solo for business or as a couple, the much smaller Capitole Hotel is a great choice. It is more intimate and also contains a variety of entertainment and amenities. High speed Internet is available in all of the rooms and the dining is absolutely fabulous. There is also much to see outside the walls of the hotel as there are some great views of Quebec City’s wonderful architecture.
So, if you are ever looking for Hotels in Quebec City, I can guarantee these would both make excellent choices.
I can imagine that employers must see thousands of boring resumes every time they need to hire new employees. I know that I have seen a bunch of bad ones pass through my hands at previous jobs - and it was rare to ever hold onto a good one. That being said, I like to keep my resume updated - and I try to do it every three months - because you never know when a new job opportunity may present itself.
For the first few years that I was in the workforce, I did this updating myself. It got to the point where it was a little too tedious for me to do it myself - so I hired a resume writer to do it for me. This worked okay for awhile, but then she moved away.
Now, I had no one to keep my resume updated. Luckily for me, my best friend recommended an online resume writer that could do what I needed for a nominal fee. All I do now is send an email every three months to them and they take care of it for me.
Next time you need a resume, try hiring a writer - it has worked well for me.
