I wanted to apply for my first loan and I didn’t know where to begin. I need a new car as mine is no longer very reliable and I am worried about making it through the winter.
I could just go to the dealership and get a car loan through them. But that is not always the best option. I want a cheap loan that will get me what I want for as little money as possible.
Isn’t that what everyone wants out of life?
I could could go for an unsecured loan, but I don’t know if that would be the best decision either. A bank loan is another option that usually offers a lower rate of interest, but still it is just not what I am looking for.
In the end, I am going to end up driving my jalopy for another winter and will end up making the loan decision only when I am force to.
I was looking online last night for something different, something bizarre, and really something that I didn’t know much, if anything, about. Somehow, I came across a website that had tests on just about everything. I was going to try and find something that was not on there.
I tried a couple of things that came to mind, though my spelling was horrible because of my dyslexia. Wait! That is a good idea…. so I decided to see if there were tests for dyslexia - and there were. Not that I needed to take a test - all the symptoms of dyslexia were there - problems spelling, confusing double digit numbers, and way too quiet - that is me.
So I kept trying to find something that didn’t have a test - but I couldn’t. Could be too that I got a little distracted on another website (ADD??) … more of that later.
My son came home today with an assignment from his teacher: doing a report on businesses in other countries. Now, you might think that this is an easy assignment, but there was a twist: they couldn’t have offices in our country.
Wow. Now that was something a little different. It is one thing to write about businesses that you are familiar with, but it is another to write about something that you know nothing about. We did a little brainstorming and came up with two industries we had some knowledge about: real estate and finance.
Living in in Canada we decided to pick a country around the world from us: Africa. We fired up our computer and looked online for real estate and finance companies in Africa - there were quite a few. What we were looking for was two companies that were in the same part of the country. After about an hour we found two that fit the bill.
The first company we found was a real estate company that is very popular in South Africa. The company is Pam Golding International and they employ over 1600 people in over 140 branches.
The second company we found was a finance company that was founded by the lawyer Ian Slot. Seef Homeloans works with their staff to find financing for people looking to buy property in South Africa. Established in 2000, his company is widely recognized for outstanding service.
We are going to have to collect a lot of information to write this report. We are going to use what we found and what we find when we go to the library to write it. He has to get it done by next Friday, so we are going to the library tonight.
I have had a home for a number of years now. Every five years or so, I go talk to my banker to renew my mortgage. I have shared my experiences with my friends and family, but I ran into something new that I thought I would share with all of you.
You see, my brother had some credit problems in the last year forcing him to go bankrupt. Now, don’t get mad at him, it came down to him having large medical bills and he had no other recourse. In his bankruptcy, he did not have to give up his home. Fast forward eight months and he needs to renew his mortgage.
We both thought the process was the same, especially since he owned his home before he went bankrupt. When he got to his meeting with his banker and let them know, he found out that he had to apply for a bad credit remortgage. This is a little different than the times that he had gone there before.
The big difference for him ended up that his interest rate on his mortgage went up half a percent. Though that might not seem like much, that can add up to thousands of dollars over the course of his mortgage. Mortgages after bankruptcy can also have other conditions as well, but he lucked out since he knew the bank manager and has made his payments on time for the last ten years.
So, if you have gone bankrupt and are in need of remortgaging your home, talk to your banker beforehand - chances are you won’t be treated the same as you used to.
I use the Internet for so many things. If I need to know something, I look online. If I want to buy something, I look online. If I need a financial product such as a loan, mortgage or credit card… I now look online.
If you notice, I didn’t put that I used the Internet as a finance resource - that is until I learned that I could do that this week. I decided this week that having a credit card could be useful in case of an emergency, so I made the decision to get one. Unlike most people, I bank at a bank where there really isn’t a lot of branches where you can go in to talk to someone - most of my banking is done online.
So, I decided to check out the credit cards offered by my bank. Sadly, there was only one option, and though it was a credit card that offered rewards points, what I was looking for was a cashback credit card.
Going to my favorite search engine I decided to look for other credit cards available to me. I was shocked at the results. There were thousands of websites dedicated to credit cards. I decided to visit a few, and there was a couple that allowed me to compare credit cards side by side to see the differences.
I did manage to find a card that fit my criteria and applied for it online. I am expecting it to show up in the next week. I am so happy I decided to shop for my credit card online as it saved me a lot of time and also gave me a broader selection than my bank could offer.
If you are in the market to renovate your house, you may not have enough money in the bank to get the job done. In this case, you probably are looking at a loan that would let you renovate your house how you want to, without worrying about a large cash outlay.
You could consider getting an unsecured loan. Your loan will be rejected or approved based on your credit rating and proof of income. Be sure that you can handle the payments as these loans are usually financed over a period of no more than five years, so depending on the size of the loan, you may find the monthly payments to hard to handle.
If you want to ease the stress on your budget to supply the money needed to make your loan payments, you could look into a secured homeowner loan. This type of loan allows you to take advantage of the equity in your home to help you get the loan. It is taken out as a second mortgage on your house and with financing terms of up to 25 or 30 years, it makes the monthly payments a little more reasonable if you are on a tight budget.
Just be sure to consult a financial professional to find the best loan for your needs. They will surely be able to help you out.
Whether you are just starting out with your first website, or have a large network of many sites, I am sure one thing on your mind is promotion. Even if you had the most beautiful website in the world, without promoting it, no one would ever see it.
Sometimes website promotion can be tedious. Submitting your site to web directories, writing articles and submitting them to article directories, and forum posting can take up a lot of your time. Do you feel that way?
I sure do.
In an effort to find an easier way to promote my sites, I came across a valuable text links marketplace today: TNX.net. What they offer is a one-click solution to promoting your site. To put it simply all you do is:
- Sign up at TNX.net.
- Visit the following forum to get a free trial of this text links ads program.
- Sign up to their affiliate program and start to earn free links and traffic for your sites.
- Create your ad.
- Pick the number of links you would like to your page.
- The system does the rest.
It definitely simplifies your job: no longer do you have to find places to advertise your site, rather, you can manage your website promotion from a centralized place. If this appeals to you, give TNX.net a try. I did, and it works great for me.
The best credit cards are the ones that offer 0% interest or the ones that offer you cash back for your purchases. But, these offers are always the ones in big, bold letters and one must always beware and read all of the fine print as well.
For instance, I can guarantee that the offer on a 0% credit card is for only a limited time, usually the first six months or so. After that time is up, you will end up paying a much higher rate than if you had just signed up for a lower interest credit card. The company makes their money from your interest payments, so no the no interest offer is a gimmick.
Cash back credit cards sometimes have a high spending limit you have to exceed before you start getting cash back. They also sometimes have a high annual fee and one must weigh what will be spent on the card versus these fees and decide whether it is worth it or not.
Like anything else, buyer beware. Read the fine print and be sure you are informed before making your decision.
Well, today I made a special trip to the bank. The term on my mortgage is almost up, so I needed to make a trip to get some things sorted out.
First of all, I needed to do a home refinance. With my term coming up and the interest rates lower than they were when I bought my home, refinancing my home would let me take advantage of these developments. It would save me a little bit each month, and what I did save, I could pay down on the mortgage and get out of debt faster.
I also wanted to get a home equity loan to pay for the renovation of our kitchen. With the linoleum peeling and the sink leaking we need to do something. We just don’t have the money on hand to pay for the renovations - so a loan will have to do.
We will hear in a few days whether we get everything we ask for or not. Until then, we will be forced to window shop at home hardware stores. I can’t wait till we do the real thing.
The Ridgefield pediatrics consists of many wonderful and caring pediatricians. The offer great primary care for children, as well as specialized care for those who need it most. The doctors are all very knowledgeable and thorough.
I have taken my children to a number of different pediatricians when our own family pediatrician was unavailable. I have never been disappointed. Not only are they all friendly and caring with the youngsters, but they also do their best to keep wait times at a minimum. When we have had a scheduled appointment, I don’t think that we have ever sat there for more than ten minutes past the appointment time. When one of the children has been sick, it has never taken more than a day to get them seen by one of our Ridgefield pediatricians.
Because of these many reasons, I am a big advocate and will continue to be so, even after my children have grown.
